Shane Sepheu, professionally known as Mr Shane SA, is a South African DJ, producer, and music enthusiast from the village of Ga Masemola. A self-taught artist passionate about creating music that connects people and represents the culture and talent of his community.
Known for his humble personality and dedication to his craft, Mr Shane SA expresses his emotions, experiences, and creativity through music and art. His vision is to see the sound of 1060 grow beyond local borders and reach audiences across South Africa and the world, while uplifting fellow musicians and artists from his village and across.
Growing up in a family that loved music played a significant role in shaping his passion. His older brother, Deep Canic, introduced him to the world of music production through FL Studio. Whenever the opportunity arose, Shane would spend hours exploring the software and teaching himself how to create music.
His journey into DJing was further inspired by a family friend and mentor, Andomusic, who introduced him to a pair of CDJs. While many children spent their free time gaming, Shane chose to spend his time learning and playing with DJ equipment, driven by his love for music.
Artists such as Prince Kaybee, Tumza D'Kota, Kabza De Small, and many others helped fuel his inspiration and motivated him to pursue music professionally.
While every performance has been meaningful, one event stands above the rest: The One Night Stand Show at Sikos Corner.
The event provided an opportunity to share the stage with some of South Africa's biggest music stars, including Kabza De Small and Felo Le Tee. The experience strengthened his belief in hard work, expanded his network, and inspired him to continue pushing his career to greater heights.
Mr Shane SA and his team are working on establishing a movement dedicated to taking the sound of Ga Masemola beyond the village and into the broader music industry.
His mission is to help develop and promote local talent, creating opportunities for musicians and artists from the area. He dreams of seeing Ga Masemola become a recognized music destination, similar to the way people travel to places like Soweto, Tembisa, and Gauteng to experience unique lifestyles and music cultures.
Beyond community development, he is preparing exciting collaborations and major announcements that will further expand his musical journey.
